Rarotonga can be as busy or relaxed as you want it to be. Here are some of our personally favourite top things to do.
Raro Quad Tours
Really want to see the inland/roads less travelled, then Raro Quad Tours is for you! A serious off road tour that takes you deep in the jungle crossing streams and uneven terrain - definately not for the faint hearted!
Snorkel, Kayak & SUP
When in Rarotonga, go to the best snorkeling spots around the Island - Muri Beach, Nikao Beach, Aroa Beach & Titikaveka Beach all have fantastic beaches to snorkel, kayak or stand up paddle board. Muri Beach Club Hotel and Captain Tamas hire out snorkel gear - enquire directly as may vary depending on the time of year
Polynesian Island Night
What Cook Islanders are most proud about is their culture - experience the ultimate island night with Polynesian Food & Dance at the Silversands Restaurant located at the Muri Beach Club Hotel. Great value at $59pp
Say I DO in Paradise
Working with the 2016/17 Destination Wedding Planners in Rarotonga makes our job of recommending a breeze. Email: email@example.com for a brochure or more information
Punanga Nui Market
The market comes to life on a Saturday with arts, crafts, fresh fruit and vegetables, and food galore cooked to your liking. Available from 7am-12noon, and if you are lucky there is normally a performance around 10am
Crossed Island Walk
This is a walk you can do on your own or with a guide, although we recommend with a guide as transport on both ends are pre arranged and you get to learn about the flora and fauna of the island with spectacular views at certain points. This requires a reasonable fitness and will take approximately 3 - 3.5 hours
Wild Life Centre
Ever wondered about the worlds largest mammals? The whale and wildlife centre allows you to experience marine life without getting wet. Catch a bit to eat while you are there.
Raro Buggy Tours
One of Rarotonga's most popular tours where you will get either muddy or dirty at one point or another. You can only imagine where this tour takes you. A great way to explore roads less travelled, great tour guides and a fantastic 'light lunch' which is definately island style in size
